Discovering the values, beliefs and practices of the Spiritually Seeking Skeptic in Greater Portland.
Understanding My Neighbor
Thursday, November 13
Willamette Christian Church
3153 S Brandywine Drive, West Linn, OR 97068
Guest presenters Ed Stetzer and Yaro Hetman from Come Near (the organization behind the work of He Gets Us) shared recent survey work conducted to discover the values, beliefs and practices of the spiritually seeking skeptic in the Greater Portland area. Data collected from a 40-mile area (basically Vancouver to Salem and everywhere in between) provided powerful insights regarding the people we seek to reach and serve. This interactive session, guided by Rick McKinley and Chris Yarco, allowed members of church leadership teams to hear the information and then consider and discuss the "so what does that mean for us?"

Un/Fractured is a gathering of church leaders who seek to keep Jesus at the center of our churches and our main focus amidst potential political discourse, polarity, and all that may come in the next season. It serves as both a beginning for some and a continuation for others, aiming to equip pastors and leaders in the Church to lead with grace and truth amidst highly critical conversations. Throughout our time together, you will hear from key leaders in the Portland church community as they deliver TED-style talks, providing us with the opportunity to delve deeper together.
