Luke: Live the Kingdom - Brian Becker

Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
So He said to them, “When you pray, say:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

The Kingdom of God is about the rule and reign of God in our lives and world.

The Kingdom of God is already here, and also not yet.

The Kingdom of God requires a response, not merely a belief.

Luke 11:1 (NKJV)
Now it came to pass, as Jesus was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”

Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
So He said to them, “When you pray, say:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

- We start with prayer.

Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

The church cannot live when the heartbeat of God is not beating within her.

Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name…

- We start with prayer.

- We remind ourselves that God is both personal and holy.

Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
Our Father…(Abba: Dearest Father…)

Proximity is always a prerequisite in living out the Kingdom of God.

Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name...

Luke 11:2 (NKJV)
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 4:17; Mark 1:14
Repent, for thekingdomof God is at hand…

- We start with prayer.

- We remind ourselves that God is both personal and holy.

- We invite his kingdom to come, his will to be done.
