What role do you play at WCC?
I serve as the communications coordinator at WCC. I facilitate communications to our congregation, promote events, as well as aid our different ministry leads with their communications.
How long have you worked at WCC?
I have worked at WCC for just about 2 years.
What other ministry positions have you held at WCC (or other churches or ministries)?
My first role at WCC was volunteering in Willamette Kids on Sunday mornings back in 2012.
What's your favorite thing about WCC?
My favorite thing about WCC is how intentional we are in giving opportunities to be in community. Putting yourself out there to meet people can be hard, so I am grateful for all of the different opportunities on a weekly basis to invite us in.
What’s your favorite thing to do on your days off?
My favorite thing to do on my day off is to spend time with my hubby Jacob. We are currently in the thick of raising babies, working, and still finding time to grow together and as individuals. So anytime I can get with him is time well spent :)
If you could have a superpower for a day, what would it be and why?
I would absolutely LOVE to fly!!
If you could trade lives with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
Hannah Montana! A regular girl, but also a secret identity as a pop star? Sounds like the dream.
If you could have dinner with any person from history, who would it be and why?
I'd love to meet Mary Magdalene.
Favorite Bible verse and why?
One of the most influential bible verses in my life so far has been Psalm 46:10:
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
It has guided me in different seasons of my life and I have grown in understanding of the text.. but I first came across the verse when I was a teen struggling with OCD. I would say the first line of this verse to myself daily.
If you could have a personal assistant for any aspect of your life, what would you choose? (e.g., cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.)
Easy!! I would have a nutritionist/meal planner!
What's the funniest nickname you've ever been given, and how did you earn it?
Half Pint - I grew up playing volleyball and was always the shortest on my team!
