Family Info

What role do you play at WCC?
My title is Office Manager but I wear many hats like most of the staff. I welcome those who call or enter the church during the week and on Sundays I greet families that arenew to Willamette Kids. I also work with the Care & Benevolence Ministry.

How long have you worked at WCC?
5 1/2 years.

What other ministry positions have you held at WCC (or other churches or ministries)?
I haven't held a staff position at any other church, but I have certainly ministered in the children's department of West Linn Lutheran for many years.

What's your favorite thing about WCC?
The community and how people love God and one another.

Favorite or influential books, movies, authors, podcasts, etc...
I love movies. I enjoy a story where people overcome hardships and learn how to care about others. A few of my favorites are:

What’s your favorite thing to do on your days off?
Being on the water, cooking, creating and hanging out with friends.

If you could have a superpower for a day, what would it be and why?
I would love to be able to fly. To see God's creation from that point of view would give me great perspective on my life and how it fits into the big picture.

If you could trade lives with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
Willy Wonka. Who wouldn't love to create candy and make children happy?

If you could have dinner with any person from history, who would it be and why?
Author Roald Dahl. I would love to hear about how he came up with the wonderfully imaginative and quirky characters for his books.

Favorite Bible verse and why?
Psalm 121. I memorized this Psalm as a child and it was my mother's favorite. When I think of it, I think of her.

A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

If you could have a personal assistant for any aspect of your life, what would you choose? (e.g., cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.)
Absolutely cleaning!

What's the funniest nickname you've ever been given, and how did you earn it?
I have many nicknames: Auntie Lu Lu, Ce Ce and Mama Hatch, but the funniest nickname came from my brother who liked to torture me. He would call me Loogie.
