2023 Adventure Camp Update

Adventure Camp 2023

From Anika Ortiz, Family Pastor

What an incredible Adventure Camp week!

Our building was filled to the brim with over 300 kids vibrating with energy and excitement as they learned what it means to shine Jesus’ light in this world.

Confetti, water games, beautiful crafts, Bible stories told by aliens (Grant and Jarah Hickman!), science experiments, glow sticks, songs, exploration stations, and so much more made the week full of adventure and joy!

If you were one of the over 150 volunteers that helped make this week possible, THANK YOU! Whether prepping snacks, creating crafts, helping a preschooler at exploration stations, or being a small group leader, decorating before, behind-the-scenes details, and everything in between, you truly made a difference.

One leader sat next to the bedside of her mom on Tuesday as she passed away, and on Wednesday she showed up to serve. With tears in her eyes she told me, “This brings me so much joy to see children learning about and worshiping Jesus together.”

These children are the future, and it is a gift and honor to step into providing life-giving moments to lead the next generation to know, love and follow Jesus.

Thank you to our church for your generosity of time, talents and resources to be able to provide Adventure Camp to our church families and community!
