7th grade boys Bible Study
By Nate Emhoff
I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to WCC Student Ministries for hosting our 7th grade boys Bible Study this winter and spring.
As we finished up on Tuesday, June 6th we're putting together some summer plans with the guys. It has been fun to partner with Zach and a couple other dads to lead these boys in discovering their faith and going deeper in their walks with Jesus. It was a blessing to move this out of our house and up to the church...we were out of room! Thank you so much for having us!
Here's some of the things the boys shared what they learned and then also how they want to grow this summer)...
What we learned:
- That God is even greater than I thought he would be and that everyone has shown me how to be closer to God.
- How to stay humble and to not be prideful
- I learned that the disciples sometimes doubted in their faith, and that Jesus even did miracles for them
- I’ve learned to put other people ahead of myself and to always make sure that I am keeping a strong relationship with God
- One thing that I learned this year is how to get even closer to God and Jesus
- I have learned to get closer and closer to God every day and to trust more in Him
- to be respectful
- I have learned how amazing God is and how He can change your life
- I have learned the importance of the Bible and how important it is to love everyone no matter what
Summer goals:
- Read all of Luke in the Bible
- Get closer to God, finish Proverbs, and get better at football
- To include other people in our group, especially this summer
- I am going to grow this summer by going to church more
- I want to grow by respecting more people
- I want to grow by focusing on others and what they need
- I hope that I can grow in my faith and do it with my friends
Thanks again for supporting these boys and their journey in figuring out a relationship with Jesus!
