Guest Services

We want to make a great first impression for our guests! Whether they are regular attendees or here for the first time, these teams create a warm, welcoming environment from the parking lot to the sanctuary and all points in between. These volunteers offer a friendly smile and information that will help guests experience the love of Jesus even before they hear about Him.

Greeter

Greeters welcome guests as they enter our building, pass out bulletins or escort new families upstairs to Willamette Kids check-in, remembering to meet them where they are. If you love people and love making them feel at home, we’ll train you on the rest of the details.

Commitment: This position serves on an every other week schedule.

Usher

Our ushers help make the task of finding a seat in a crowded room a little less intimidating. In addition, they take time before service starts to greet and connect with those in the gym. If you would like to lend a helping hand to people as they are finding their way into our worship services, come join our team.

Commitment: This serving opportunity is scheduled on an every other week basis.

Coffee Prep-Midweek

Our guests love the coffee and tea we provide, but it takes some additional prep during the week to help our Sunday volunteers be successful. The midweek coffee prep volunteer restocks our supplies so that everything is ready for the weekend.

Commitment:This serving opportunity can be done at any time on Wednesdays or Thursdays.

Coffee Prep-Sundays

These volunteers brew coffee and restock supplies so everyone can attend service with their cup of joe.

Communion Server

Communion is included during each Sunday service. We need a great team of believers to help with passing the communion elements. This can easily be done at the same service you attend.

Commitment: We ask all volunteers to serve at one service every other week.

Communion Prep-Midweek

We take communion each Sunday, and there’s a lot of prep work to make sure it goes smoothly! Volunteers clean, polish, and prepare the plates with crackers, cups, and juice, then store in the fridge until Sunday.

Commitment:This opportunity takes about 1.5 hours once a month.

Requirements: Dependable, with ability to use hands for detailed work for extended period of time.

Communion Prep-Sundays

Communion is included each week during Sunday services, so volunteers refill the plates with crackers, cups, and juice between services.

Communion Cleanup

Communion is included during each Sunday service. We need a few people to help clean up the elements after the 3rd service to allow us to be ready for the following Sunday.

Traffic Team

Our Traffic Team allows those who have parked across the street from the church, as well as students and leaders who attend the Summit, cross Salamo Rd. safely. They also help cars efficiently and quickly enter and exit the church parking lot before and after services. If you like kids, cars, and can rock a bright orange vest, sign up today.

REQUIREMENTS: Safety training provided.

Commitment: Serve at one service every other week, 30 min before and after each service.
