All is Bright? Unplanned Journey- Dayne Scanlon

Matthew 2:13-15a
When they (the Shepherds) had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, where he stayed until the death of Herod.

When you trust in Jesus, you experience unshaken perseverance Christ-Like character, and a hope that doesn’t disappoint.

Romans 5:2b-4
And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

IF 2021 is worse than 2020… then that might be good news for us.

Unshaken Perseverance

Christ-Like Character

Galatians 5:22-23
but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control.

Hope that doesn’t disappoint

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:10-11
This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
